Today radio techs were testing out the 2 new UHF repeaters that West Chester University (WCU) has set up. The channel numbers and use are based on chatter that I heard from them and could change. There was apparently a small problem with a signal taking the wrong path on the 4-wire connector from the base to the transmitter on 464.2875, and some static on that frequency as well.

Channel 1: 462.0625+ (CTCSS 103.5) Campus Police
Channel 2: 464.2875+ (CTCSS 91.5) Campus EMS/QRS 58
Both are licensed under the callsign WQHI830

That would probably explain why I didn't hear anything on WCU's 155 freq for the past few days (yet, I could hear Cheyney just fine from West Chester).

I am still logging hits and hearing activity on the VHF repeater, but I'm also getting activity on the new UHF repeater for public safety. I haven't heard any cross patch between the two.

The audio on the UHF channels - at least from the west end of West Chester, is pretty low, at least compared to the VHF. If I hear any voice traffic, I'm barely able to hear it.
