Chester, LTR Mulitnet??

Hi All,
I am not familliar with this type of system...are there any of the new fangled scanners that can track this puppy?? I currently have a Uniden BC780, BC250D, and a GRE PRO-96.

No scanner can track MultiNet. It's unlikely one will ever be produced either.

I thought that was the case...with there not being many of these systems in use I guess the demand for a scanner that can track them is pretty low...Oh, well, maybe someday!!

You can decode with LTRTrunk program with a slight mod to your BC780XLT.

I will be spending time in Chester County this summer, and I would like to know if the simulcast frequencies are good?

Does Valley Forge Park use the system?

From the Valley Forge Park area, should one listen to Montgomery County also?

Yes, the simulcast freqs work fine, and it's acutally nice to only have 3 freqs to have to listen to for the entire county.

The police, however, do not have a simulcast freq.

I have a BCT8, Just got it and was having trouble programing it I did everything the directions said to do until I forgot the our system is LTR Multinet. ANd heck I am fireman here chester county. I talk to the guy at metropoltian communications and says just program all 16 frequencies. Any other help ?

programming all 16 frequencies (if you mean the 800MHz frequencies) probably will not work, since you need the talkgroup ID's to go with them.

I have a BCT785D and was having a heck of a time programming 0-00-135 because the scanner said the 0 in the beginning was not valid. Of course that's when I found out it was an impossible system to track.

The best way is to program the 3 channels (dispatch, east/central ops, west ops) and listen that way.

I joined 22/12 last year and thats how I learned about all the problems I was having.

The folks at Metropolitan Comm. are suggesting that you simply program all the Chester Co. 800 freqs in a bank and scan them as you would a non-trunked system. It is about the only solution to monitoring the Chester County radio system.

This is how I monitor the system and it works as best as can be expected.
I have the VHF dispatch freqs in as well, along with the Fire and EMS dispatch & pager freqs in that same bank.

It does make it hard to follow a particular incident, as responses will be received on any of the 800 freqs at any given time, but I can usually follow the majority of the calls.
