I need some help finding someone to program all of Chesterfield COunty POlice/Fire and Henrico Police Fire into my scanner. I have a Uniden BCT8 but someone said I needed a different radio to listen in on all the frequencies . If anyone can help or give me advice that would be great. Thanks, Sean

Also if anyone can do it for me or knows someone that can do it I will pay for the service.

You need a digital scanner in order to listen to the Richmond/Richmond/Henrico system. Some of the digital scanners that come to mind are the PRO-96, the PRO-2096, the BCD396t, and the BCD996t. There are also others. I believe there is something in the wiki about digital scanners. You can however, listen to Chesterfield and Henrico Fire Dispatch with an analog scanner because they simulcast on analog frequencies. Take a look in the database and the frequencies are listed. For Henrico County, the simulcast on 155.235, 155.175, and 155.220 at the same time.

Someone told me the PRO 96 is on sale. I haven't tried to verify this but it is worth a phone call.

BTW, I was down for the hamfest Sunday and monitored the Metro system in and out of town and I have to say it sounds much better than Albemarle/C'ville's system, audio-wise. I believe they are of similar design, wide area multi-site simulcast but they must have it tweaked better or something.

So go get that digital scanner Sean!

Their web-site says $399 until 3/3. Their Uniden's were on sale a couple of weeks ago and were almost competitive. I don't see the uniden digitals on their web-site now, however.
