i'm visiting chicago next week for the event and need to program my scanner. what should i do? i noticed they got digital p25 for dispatch but rest is analog how should i program my scanner if i don't know the tgids and controls? in my area it is strictly APCO 25 armer system and vhf paging only. i looked on radio reference so i can at least program conventional but more worried about not finding digital channels with controls if its that type of system thanks

its not trunked there is no controls or talkgroups you program the Main and Englewood as conventional P25

I would also consider a subscription to RR. CPD and CFD are really easy downloads and RR has all you need.

If you have a RR subscription it should say "Premium Subscriber" above every post.
