Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.973 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I would check the FCC database.

I am thinking that with the small size of the service, they might just use cellphones or Nextel's Direct Connect.

They are only in the planning stages.. they are first responders only and will not be transporting.

Thank you for the replies. They are a little past the planning stages as I've seen them doing ride time on the ambulances. I saw that they carry radios with them, that's why I'm asking if anyone knows about the frequencies. I tried looking them up in the FCC database with no luck.

They may not have their own radio system. They could go a leased radio service (i.e A-Beep) in which case you'd have to do some searching.

Not sure what it means. But they are scattered across the U.S. They do have FCC licenses in other parts of the country.

From Wikipwedia.....

"Hatzolah/Hatzalah ("rescue" or "relief" in Hebrew: הצלה‎) is a volunteer Emergency Medical Service (EMS) organization serving mostly Jewish communities around the world. Most local branches operate independently of each other, but use the common name. The Hebrew spelling of the name is always the same, but there are many variations in transliteration, such as Hatzolah, Hatzoloh, Hatzalah, and Hatzola.[1] It is also often called Chevra Hatzolah, which loosely translates as "Company of Rescuers" or "Group of Rescuers."

Hatzalah License Application

Hatzalah Chicago applied for an FCC license this past week. It would cover two 100 watt MotoTRBO repeaters - one at 7141 N. Kedzie on 463.6125 and one at 8707 Skokie Boulevard on 462.1375.

Again, this is only an application, a license has not issued yet.

Hatzalah is the Aramaic word for "rescue." Hatzalah is a private EMS company, individually operated, by orthodox Jewish communities around the USA and world. New York City is the largest in the world. Their dispatch has it's own phone number and they respond just like 911. The EMTs and Paramedics respond in POVs and/or via ambulances. They treat and transport. They work on scene, on occasion, with the FDNY EMS or other govt. agencies.
