Good afternoon / Evening folks. Been catching a lot of traffic the last 2 days on TG2738 which according to the RR database was assigned to DU-COMM Statewide. Listening to the traffic though it sounds like its being used by CPD as a citywide alert channel. Catching a lot robberies and shootings broadcast over it for city addresses. Can anyone around verify this for me?

Citywide 6 was patched on ACDC Statewide a couple days ago, I'm assuming that the Carjacking Detail Operation was happening at that time or the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management was conducting a test on the patch system that they handle.
It's pretty much weekly, but not always the same day or TG's/channels patched depending on who's playing that week.

Villa Park PD has a car jacking detail that spends a lot of time in the city following cars down 290 east from Villa Park.
I believe it's a countywide detail task force or if it's the joint operation with Chicago PD, other agencies I've seen like Elmhurst, Oak Brook and Hinsdale have stepped up and utilizing many resources such as increasing the use of license plate readers. I cannot describe much as it is confidential.
