Chinese military station MC03 has been active this month on 5139 kHz, LSB mode. For those not familiar, this is one of several oddity stations that are believed to be Chinese military related, in this case very possibly air defense or air tracking. For this activity the transmitter is using a keyed audio tone in LSB mode, instead of ICW (keyed unmodulated carrier). You can tell by the audio harmonics of the 500 Hz tone used. Other times it has been noted in ICW and also USB modes of transmission.
