Hello. Sorry if this is not the place for this question. I currently live in Monrovia, Ca. I like to listen to our city fire department, but have an issue. Fire dispatch is contracted from Verdugo Fire Communications based in Glendale, Ca. I'm not interested in hearing all the other cities signals going off when a call is dispatched. Is there a way to only hear my city, Monrovia, being dispatched? I am using these three scanners:
BCD536
BCD436
SDS-100

Thank you.....

154.37 on VHF and then on the ICI trunked system. There unfortunately is not a specific way to JUST follow Monrovia on the radio itself, but if you have the Pulsepoint iphone/android/web app, you can follow Monrovia and get notifications for CPR based incidents near you along with fire, traffic collision, and other service calls (sent at the same time as the initial dispatch) then you can turn on the scanner and monitor that call.

If paging tones are used on 154.3700, one of the uniden receivers with tone out feature should work for you.

The only paging tones used are a common one for incidents that a battalion chief would normally respond on. The only other city that might still have a tone-out on there is Sierra Madre but I haven’t listened to the VHF patch recent enough to know if they still have it.
