Hearing 464.4875 in downtown Sac seems to be simulcast of 453.200 Capitol Division. I can't find any data on this. Monitoring from downtown Sacramento, reception is marginal.

I am just a few blocks from here - ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - KYK296 - CALIFORNIA, STATE OF - Close enough to hear transmissions on input/output freqs.

The reception on 464.4875 sounds as if I am on the fringe of a distant repeater.. Sometimes clear, other times it is scratchy.

I grabbed 464.4875 from Close Call around State Capitol-Downtown area so obviously had to be close the source at some point.

Is 453.2000 locked out from being hit with CloseCall?

I would say overload caused it. If you've got 453.2000 locked out that would be a good reason it found it instead.

I receive simulcasts on 453.200 and 460.375 both with CTs of 127.3. So you could be getting an image of either of those broadcasts.

Nope - I never lock out CHP/Capitol from Close Call - I'm a 5 minute walk away from the Capitol and the Governor's home, so I'm always trying to catch nearby traffic and non repeated transmissions.

Consistently I can hear 453.2 traffic on 464.4875. From inside my home, the quality is marginal, but becomes much clearer if I move my 396XT up to a window.

My first thought was that 464.4875 was part of a repeater network/extension to reach other parts of the county.

I'm not discounting any anomaly - but the consistency caused me to post the question because to me, it seemed legit.

Do any of your other radios (if you have any) get it?
