All the aircraft listed as "hasn't been used since" are still flying.

Flightaware is only going to show IFR flight plans, or some VFR flight plans with flight following (but rarely). CHP almost never files IFR flight plans, or picks up flight following.

FlightAware will also show the ADS-B data source flight on the aircraft page/history.
Most CHP helicopters using ADS-B now.
(FlightAware members need higher membership to see them. if it's only ADS-B flight without any flight plans.)

Good point, though pretty certain it's included in their standard stats/maps. Most GA aircraft (CHP included) do not have ADS-B installed, so that really isn't going to make much of a difference in this case.

[Edit] Correct, several of their helicopters do.

Nice photo, but 1/500 is too fast a shutter speed for prop planes. Don't use anything faster than 1/250. 1/125 better still. Get much nicer prop blur with the slower speeds.
