I have observed both of those antenna types, or something quite similar on different CHP towers. I think Fresno had the omni and Merced had the folded dipole. I could be confusing the locations though.

Do you recall how much of six it covers, or is it narrow?

Someone loaned me a Cushcraft 6m vertical. I took it down and the guy doesn’t want it back. I forgot the spread on it.

Its a little narrow for even a typical 6m repeater split and for the CHP probably sits on one frequency all its life. I was going to rebuild mine with a folded upper element which is known to have wider BW and work fine as a 6m repeater antenna. I have a 6m Ringo also, it covers most of the band just fine but lights up the coax and mast with RF.

Do you recall how much of six it covers, or is it narrow?
