A CHP officer was involved in a shooting on State Route 99 S Bound. He has been transported to Hospital. Suspect still on the loose. Does anyone have the name of the officer that was shot?

I haven't heard anything, but they usually don't release that info right away.

I've been hearing on the news that the suspect is dead and the CHP Officer has non-lifethreatening injuries. FWIW.

You are correct, although he was hit with a couple shots. I don't want to get into specifics, at all, but the officer is a relative, and I can only say he will be fine.
