Because they organize benevolent events that tens of thousands of men attend to try to devote their lives to being better Christians, husbands, fathers, leaders, neighbors, and Americans. Each of these events attracts tens of thousands of men (and women) from all races, creeds, religions, cultures, and orientations, filling entire sports stadiums. Some events last more than one day.

Such endevors require communications for coordination, administration, logistics, security, video operations, audio cuing, cordless microphones, etc.

this isn't about christianity, it's about a cult. the promise keepers is considered a cult by many.

this isn't about your beliefs or anything related to god or christianity. it's about a cult aquiring a large number of frequencies.

It couldn't possibly be a weekend retreat for Christian males to gather in fellowship to learn to become a better man in their communities....nope, they are a cult because a senior member of a messageboard says so WITHOUT providing any proof beyond providing their own misguided view based on what others have conveyed to him. Do you believe everything you read on the internet or just what suits your biased view of things? I may not be a frequent poster here and I've never attended Promise Keepers (although I know plenty that have and no, they weren't indoctrinated into some cult like I'm sure you'd love to believe), but I know that I don't come here to watch people spew rhetoric in the hopes to get a rise out of people.....but I guess in your case you were able to achieve just that....congratulations...

Not a Cult; OP was Biased, Divisive and Antagonistic

Many people think that one group or another is a cult. Some feel that the Catholic Church is a cult, I don't go around saying or writing "the cult Catholic Church..." Anyone can say anything about a person or an organization. The common sense way would be to determine what the "mainstream" views it as - in this case, certainly not a crazy, whacko, baby killers rallying cult.

The fact is that mainstream Christianity does not consider Promise Keepers a cult. Promise Keepers is accepted by most major Christian denominations, as well as many non-Christian religious organizations, counseling/psychology clinicians, women's groups, and family-oriented organizations alike.

You will probably find that your comments are dissentious - most here will agree that you are completely out of line and out of touch with what you wrote, besides the fact of being wrong about the organization being a cult.


The point is, whether or not you think they are a cult, your question should have read something like:

The organization Promise Keepers seems to be registering a large amount of frequencies in the Sacarmento area. Does anyone know why this organization would need so many frequencies?
