I was in Cincinnati and my question is are all calls dispatched on 55599? or do they use the individual station alerting tgs? and i would hear the dispatch assign them to "fireground a2" but i could not find this in the MARCS ip database. what are tgs are they referring to? Thanks!

To answer the questions completely, yes all calls are dispatched on 31 MAIN DISP and are then assigned to a "fire ground" channel that corresponds to the zone and channel number in the radio. The radios have more than 10 zones with 16 channels each just for the Cincinnati Fire Department.
The most commonly used channels are,
A2 - 31 EMS
A3 - 31 MVC
A11 - 31 PF GRND
A13 - 31 RIVER
B2 - 31 COMMAND B
C2 - 31 COMMAND C
D2 - 31 COMMAND D
E2 - 31 COMMAND E
F2 - 31 COMMAND F
G2 - 31 COMMAND G
H2 - 31 COMMAND H
I2 - 31 COMMAND I
J2 - 31 COMMAND J

A16 will soon be changed from 31 MAYDAY EMS to 31 CFD ALERT and will be used for the Locution station alerting system, calls will still be human dispatched on 31 MAIN DISP as well.

The 31 CFD FSA talk groups are currently only used for backup station alerting.
