Does anyone know a timeframe for the Cincinnati Police Department going digital? Hamilton County is already there, and I know the coverage is kind of subject, due to lack of towers. Once the city goes live, I think this will improve dramatically. Any input would be appreciated.

It is planned to be online sometime in early 2005.

It will be the same type of system as Hamilton County is now using.
They will share transmitter sites with Hamilton County, but they will
be completely seperate systems.

I wonder if they will do like Akron/Summit County are doing now. Two different 'sites' but, all the same radio system. Summit County uses 'Site 2' while Akron uses 'Site 1'. They can flip TGs with no problem and APD will utilize the County transmitter sites when they are on the fringe areas of the City transmitter sites.
