Member-The Ear of the Cin-Day corridor
To all members on this board,
I wish you and yours family MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
I would like to formally announce the first meeting of the MONIX South Group
(MSG)!!!! ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND!!! BEING WE HAVE MEMBERS IN N. KY WE'RE HAVING A MEETING IN THEIR FRONT YARD!!!
As you well know the gas prices and long travel times that meeting attendance
has declined for the Springboro, OH location. Their are those members that want the club to hold meetings further south, but the northern most members can't make it.
So the decision was clear, we're going to have to split up to make it both convenient and economical
to all involved.
So after looking for a facility that doesn't charge a stiff fee to use,
appointing a leader Mike Eilers AC4XS, establishing a date, a speaker or two,
we now have the makings of a meeting!!!
The Date: January 19th, 2013
The Time: 1800 (L) .....6 PM for most civilians
The Place: Donato's Pizza
15 Donnemeyer Dr.
Bellevue, KY 41073
(859) 261-5700
What's happening: Their will be a standard MONIX meeting with information to
pass from the North group plus any new items from the South members. If you have
scanner or other related radio questions, ask them.
Their will be a featured speaker (s).
One who is confirmed, is Mike Carter W8BSI. He is a member of the Mound
Amateur Radio Club (Miamisburg, OH) along with Montgomery County ARES. He is
also a member of Ohio Task Force One and was recently deployed to assist
Hurricane Sandy victims. And he will talk about his experiences in the disaster
area.
The other speaker who MAY OR MAY NOT COME is:
Gary Hollenbaugh NJ8BB. He is both a Navy and Army NG vet, who now works as a
cell phone network technician for Cricket Wireless network. He too went to the
affected areas after Sandy to help restore service. He too will relate what it
was like to be in the disaster zone.
Due to the new venue I'd like to get a idea of the number of people that are
going to attend due to some what limited seating.
So please E-mail me at the following E-mail address to let me know you coming.

Thank You and have a happy new year,
