CITY JAIL & CENTRAL BOOKING FREQUENCIES !

I KNOW OF ONE FREQ. FOR THE CITY JAIL
I WOULD THINK THAT THERE IS MORE THAN ONE CHANNEL FOR THE INTAKE FACILITY BUT JUST CANT FIND THEM OR MABEE THERE SO LOW POWERED THEY DONT REALLY COME OUTA THE FACILITY????
IF THERE IS ANY MORE INFO THAT SOMEONE CAN TELL ME ON THIS PLEASE POST A REPORT (THE CITY JAIL CHANNEL IS 158.9250 NFM

Try this system Seems to be used at all correctional facilties in Baltimore City. Never listened to it much but I know the C/O's at CBIF have EDACS radios.

THANX FOR THE ATTEPT TO FIND OUT THIS DIFFICULT POST!!
BUT THEY WERE INCORRECT. I DONT EVEN HEAR ANYTHING ON THAT SYSTEM. I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT C.D.I.F. USES THEIR RADIOS SO LITTLE. I DO HOPE SOMEONE COMES THROUGH AND CAN ANSWER MY QUESTION. IT WOULD BE FUN AND INTERESTING TO LISTEN TO THE INTAKES RADIOS. I AM ALMOST 100% THINKING THAT THE RADIOS THEY USE ARE SIMPLEX. THE ONE CHANNEL THAT I POSTED IS THE CITY JAIL, IT SOUNDS LIKE THE HEAD COMMANDER INCHARGE OF THE JAIL OR SOMETHING !!

There was about 5 more frequencies that came out of this post than i knew before. The one is, and was active since i found it(city jail). Im about 5 miles from the booking facility. I am using a yaesu vr-5000 and a directional gain antenna high on my roof and still hearing nothing on these channels listed. It seems hard to figure out central booking facility radio info. I MIGHT!! even go sit down there one day and see what i get on these misc.freqs.

I do wish someone would come thru and list these radio channels for sure, but again, they might be right???? just not powerfull????

Which frequencies are you not receiving any traffic on? Well to tell you the truth, there is not a freq. that is listed for central booking. So to answer your question , none. And why cant anyone kinda figure this one out yet. There is another post someone else but theres not a answer on there either. Im just gonna have to take a couple hours out of my day and go down near there and not leave until i find a channel or 2 to post. HELP !!!!!!! lol

Central Booking doesn't have its own license (yet). You'll find them under Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

Got a fairly good look at the radios used at CBIF when I was there the other day. Can say for a fact that they are GE and that the screen showed "operations". Did have the model number of the radio but didn't write it down thinking I would remember. Noted to myself to do so next trip there. Radio is a big ugly looking grayish/silver hunk of metal. Didn't see any plastic on it.

I think we came to the conclusion that Central Booking uses 158.925 when I posted that thread titled "Jail Uprising." The two Baltimore jail frequencies that we have and that are very busy are the one above and 153.86.

Just put those two frequencies in a scanner and will see what I hear.

153.8600. 158.9250 453.4500 are good city holding facilities. Who would this be 453.3375??? Sounds like a detention center or a jail in some sorts , might be a juvenille det.ctr. ??? Good times!!!
