City Of Allentown Frequencies

Hi, I just wanted to let you know the frequencies on the Allentown Database are missing some talk group id codes.

First off I will start out by telling you what the 1046 08-026 A Police? 1046 Police?
one is. That is Comm Center Supervisor talk group.

Ok now for what is missing.

0307 Police Vice
0256 Police City Wide
0305 Police ERT

0532 Fire Ground 1
0533 Fire Ground 2
0534 Fire Marshal
0576 Fire Training 1
0578 Fire Training 2
0544 Fire Event 1
0545 & 0546 or actually Fire Event 2 & 3 not 1 & 2

2045 EMS MED COM
2046 EMS MED COM

1044 Traffic Engineering
1047 Public Works 1
1048 Public Works 2

Please use the 'submit info' link under the Scanner Master logo to get these added to the database. Just bring up the TRS in the database and follow the links. Thanks 73 Mike

For privacey reasons some of those may not have been updated or listed correct.. Of course you will hear everything anyway but its not always posted..

All VICE operations are encrypted 95% of the time unless working with ERT or even the patrol cars normally to advise them to stay away from a area.

Knowing that Allentown has what I believe is GE's ProVoice capable system its more easy for the police to vanish in the near future.

There is no indication at this time that APD will encrypt in the near future. Certainly, that could change in a heart-beat.

The talk groups I listed all have active transmissions.

0307 Police Vice is used by vice to talk with marked units.
0256 Police City Wide is used for events like parades and sometimes used when they are doing a massive search
0305 Police ERT sometimes used by ERT.

0532 Fire Ground 1 is used when needed. Is used with training as well.
0533 Fire Ground 2 barely used.
0534 Fire Marshal is used by the fire marshal.
0576 Fire Training 1is used when needed. Is used with training as well.
0578 Fire Training 2 barely used.
0544 Fire Event 1 used during events of course.
0545 & 0546 or actually Fire Event 2 & 3 not 1 & 2 used during events but rarely.

2045 EMS MED COM used when EMS contacts med com
2046 EMS MED COM used when EMS contacts med com

1044 Traffic Engineering
1047 Public Works 1
1048 Public Works 2

I have heard transmissions on all of these talk group ids. I can understand not adding the Police VICE & ERT ones but the rest should be.

Couple of things:
2044 is the Med Chan. 10 Patch
2045 & 2046 I have only heard used as alternate Fire Dispatch

I've never seen that 256 talkgroup active (never popped up in unitrunker either). When Obama was in town, they had Public Safety (1300), Patched into Lehigh County Police 4.

What happened to AFD 04-021(529) and 04-022(530)? They (especially 04-021) are bit more active than 04-024and 04-025 given as Fire Ground 1 and 2

04-000 is Citywide FD Alert, 04-021 is AFDOps 1, 04-022 is AFDOps 2
