Ames TRS

Tim, If you are close to Ames and can hear the control channel from the list of freqs.,just put it in and see what voice channel is being used and take note. If its a busy TRS it should not take long.If you find the CC, post it here so i can pre-program my scanner.

I'm sure the control channel changes daily. I just scan all the frequencies for the system. To me, the system doesn't have much PS traffic. I do not monitor water, garbabge, ect departments. Just Fire/EMS/PD stuff.

Tim,

It's very possible that both lists are correct. The RRDB shows 15 frequencies, and the license data shows 18. Maybe the missing 3 are replacements for the three expired licenses shown here: http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&ctid=869, or maybe they are just being held for possible future use.

Just because Ames has a TRS doesn't mean that all licensed 800Mhz frequencies will be used for trunking. :D
