The citys plowing operations are they still using the uhf frequency's or did they switch over to the 800 system ?.

Snow Command operations roughly parallel the above and will be heard primarily on channels 1, 7 and 8. Channels may also be referred to as "Fleets". Some systems/radios may have channels 1 & 7 reversed.

800 MHz Freq Change

If still in use by Streets & San, the current freq would be 854.1375 - the license covering 853.2125 was modified due to 800 MHz rebanding. 107.2 was the tone previously reported in use by S&S on 853.2125.

If still in use by Streets & San, the current freq would be 854.1375 - the license covering 853.2125 was modified due to 800 MHz rebanding. 107.2 was the tone previously reported in use by S&S on 853.2125.

In year's past, have never heard Snow Command on that frequency. . 453.650 (North Snow Command and Fleet Service {go by call signs Q-1}), 453.150 (Central & Loop Operations)...seems concentrated North Ave. to 39th St.(Pershing Road), but will wait and see this year), 453. 550 (South). These three frequencies are used for Ward Operations as well. The Ward Superintendents and their subordinates, use radio signatures 4xx0-5 (Ex. 4230 is the 23rd Ward Superintendent..4239 (Street Sweeper assigned to the 23rd Ward for the month). You will also hear 4500 series which i'm not sure their assignments yet, but appear to be snow command related. Will have to wait this year to see if any changes have been mande.
