City of Conyers Ga

Hello Everyone,
I did a search and the only thing that came up was back in 2014. I know there has been a lot of changes
since then. I have the SDS100 and have Rockdale County programmed in. I am hearing the County fine,
however I am unable to hear the City of Conyers anymore. Does anyone have any current information
about this. The database show the system is not private or encrypted....

Conyers PD is on a different system from the county. Conyers Public Safety P25 Trunking System, Conyers, Georgia Both the Rockdale and Conyers systems show a limited number of talkgroups. I suggest that you put both systems into ID Search to see if you are missing anything. If you attach your favorites list file, I will be happy to take a look at it. Go to the File tab in Sentinel and click on Export to hpe file (Favorites List). You will need to zip the exported file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file.

Thanks tvengr, Yes I am aware of them being on two different systems and I have them both programmed in the scanner. I have also put the scanner in search mode as you suggested, and I can hear some traffic but it seem to be non law or fire traffic, like things going on at the Horse Park, Maintenance, etc.... That is why I posted the question hear to see if there was anything I was missing. I have noticed that on the county system I am hearing lower badge numbers or unit numbers, like in the 500's and then I hear some up in the 2500's. I do know that a fews years back, the city had low 500 badge or unit numbers and the county's was higher in the 2500 or so. I know this because I had a family member that use to be on the City and their badge number was in the 500's. Also checking the link you provided you'll notice that there is only one Talk ID for law dispatch and it is Digital, which I haven't seen in a long time. I also have a BCD396 that has the City system in it that I use to hear and monitor a lot. I no longer hear anything there either.... Thanks for the info...

Are you sure CPD is still on the talkgroups referenced on their system but are now encrypted? I've been monitoring the Conyers system this morning and, as the OP reported, I too am not seeing activity from Conyers PD - encrypted or otherwise. Rockdale County Sheriff dispatch channel is still active and not encrypted on the Rockdale system. Seems like there is something different with Conyers PD - other than simply having gone encrypted on the Conyers system.

All traffic on the Conyers system appears to be fully encrypted. I've had SDRtrunk locked onto it for a few months now, attached to my Trunking Recorder with no clear audio recorded. I do see encrypted activity on unknown TGs. My guess is that they changed the Conyers PD TG from what the DB has listed, but I cannot confirm, which is why I had not submitted any updates.

Hi All, If I put my SDS100 on ID Search instead of ID scan, the I do hear activity on some ID's that are not listed in the Database, however it's mostly like Maintenance around the Horse Park etc. I am still not hearing any type of Law or Fire activity. I know the City PD is out there because I see them all the time in the City...Thanks..

Agreed, and if you go to the FCC website and look at the public information on the Conyers PD site it shows multiple mobiles and at least two sites for the PD and it doesn't show any of it to be encrypted....Thanks.

Same here. I am seeing the TG 10003 come up, but there is no audio. Also I have my SDS100 in ID Search instead of ID Scan in order to see that....Thanks..

Using DSD+ Fastlane, I see the traffic on other TGs now.

I think that i'm on the very edge of coverage from where the SDR is set up, and that it isn't fully decoding all the data from the control channel in SDRtrunk.

I am only about 6 miles from the City PD Station. I only have the SDR100 and the BCD396XLT and they both are hearing the same traffic in Search Mode. ID Scanning hears nothing....
