City of Dallas P25 App?

Saw this on the FCC web site.

Police are issuing new multi-band (460/700/800) handheld radios to officers en masse, and installing new multi-band (460/700/800) in vehicles. On them, all I see are existing talkgroups on city's trunked system used by police, and the NTCOG system.

Good info on the radios. Looks like they're adding another site at Northwest Hwy and 78 on the Garland border on this application. All the freqs match the Site 1 simulcast layer. Should start getting interesting with the radios getting installed.

Sounds like they brought up the Frankford site. I could even get a single bar last week and now it's five bars and good copy.

Motorola. Don't know which handheld. Last day for me to swap out my old radio. Lost my lapel mic. Guess I'll have to pay for it :-(

Got new HH today. Motorola APX 7000. Set up for existing UHF PD and UHF FD, UHF, 700MHz and 800MHz interop, as well as NCTCOG P25 and PD talkgroups on city's analog trunked system. Interesting that radio isn't programmed to allow xmt on either of the trunked systems.
