Looking at the listing here, it says it is APCO-25 with 490 frequencies. What system is this? I cant recall seeing any APCO-25 unless it was trunked. If digital, does it have any encryption, or just what is this? :?:

I haven't personally verified this but it was previously reported on the Scan-DC list that the Frederick Police were digital. In this case, they are conventional channels that use APCO-25 digital audio. If you have a digital-capable scanner then you should be able to listen (as long as they are not encrypted).

For comparison, most (actually all I think) trunked systems in the Washington-Baltimore area are Motorola (3600 baud control channel) and use a mix of APCO-25 digital audio and analog audio. There are two components to the APCO-25 standard, the digital audio standard (known as the Common Air Interface) and the trunked radio system standard. A fully APCO-25 compliant trunked radio system uses a 9600 baud APCO-25 control channel and APCO-25 digital audio exclusively (no analog).
