Jackson, MS- Police chief stated today that the top three goals over the next 3 years are: A: To increase the number of officers on patrol, B: To switch to a digital radio system, and C: To better JPD services to the community.

It is unknown right now if they will be upgrading the EDACS system in place now to a PROVoice,... or switch to a Motorola system. As I get more info I will update you all. Personally I hope they go Motorola for proper interop with Hinds, Warren, and Rankin Counties, as well as the City of Madison.
