The City of Kernersville has asked the FCC for a 12 month extension for the buildout of the last three channels of its TRS.

I am not familiar with the history, but it was indicated that Forsyth County and Kernersville had discussed building a shared infrastructure for these frequencies. The county changed its mind leaving the city looking to fund a construction deadline which has since passed.

They should've convinced the powers-that-be that the Dell people might like it, then it would have been done. :)

You could probably count the the things these three entities have agreed upon on the fingers of one hand, but you'd need 10 gig of memory to cover the things they've disagreed upon and attempted to screw each other over. Such is life in Stepford.

Did K'ville ever let the County co-locate on their TRS tower?

The Mayor at the time (he's now a state representative) wanted $$$$ from the county in rent to co locate on the tower.

I never did hear how that was resolved.

Judging from obvious visible changes and additional equipment on the K-ville tower over the last year or so ( I pass by it twice each workday), I'd say the situation has been resolved but as to how, I can't say.
