City of Ottawa to go digital ??

I've heard from a few good sources/friends,(firemen,ems personnel),that these agencies,will be going digital in the near future,anyone else heard the rumor's ? personally,I didn't think that they would spend the $$ to go forward with it,,,at least not for a few more years.
