No they don't link, I think it's against FCC rules to crossband like that! Although in a true emergency the rules go out the window. I have never heard of crossbanding between HF and VHF/UHF. Even with the ham stuff the cross band is usually anything ABOVE 10 Meters. Although don't quote me on that

actually there are links between VHF/UHF and HF on some Ham repeater systems. The N2ROW repeater system in NYC has a repeater on 29.680mhz. They also have repeaters on 53.41, 145.23, 224.34, 441.1, 447.625 and recently added another on 927.9625mhz. All are linked together. Covers all Impressive system.

New Jersey Wing Civil Air Patrol conducts a net Monday-Friday from 1930-2000 local time. There is a different NCS (net control station) every night because each squadron has a different meeting day and time. For example: Twin Pine Composite Squadron (Red Dragon 4510) meets on Wednesday nights from 1900-2115; the communications officer or assigned cadet runs the net from 1930-2000 local. The same thing would happen with any other squadron. Fridays are opened to any authorized NCS, but there usually is'nt a net. Nets are run on 148.125 MHz (CAP Simplex 2); the net controller may also choose to use a CAP repeater which also outputs on 148.125 MHz.

138.150 is a tactical freq. used by the military for "Combat Air Patrol", not Civil Air Patrol. The two are entirely different agencies. I know for sure its not used by New Jersey's 177th in Atlantic City. It may however be used by the A-10's from Willow Grove while they are on patrol over NYC which they have been latley.
