EMERGENCY SERVICES RESPONSE EXERCISE TO BE CONDUCTED AT OREGON CITY HIGH SCHOOL
On Friday May 9, 2008 at 9:00 am there will be an emergency services response exercise conducted at the Oregon City High School located at 19761 Beavercreek Rd, Oregon City. The Oregon City Police Department, Oregon City School District, Clackamas Fire #1, Willamette Falls Hospital, Clackamas Community College, AMR, Life Flight, Clackamas County Sheriffs Office, Milwaukie Police Department, Canby Police Department, West Linn Police Department and Gladstone Police Department will work together as one team to test our emergency services ability to respond to a school shooting simulation at one of the largest high schools in Clackamas County.
In the event of a major situation such as a school shooting agencies from all over the metro area would respond to assist in all areas necessary. Are our agencies prepared for a school shooting? No one can be totally prepared but it is our job to train together and prepare for anything.
The exercise will take place from 9:00am to 1:00pm. The Media is welcome to attend the exercise. Please contact Sgt. Matt Paschall or Lt. Lisa Nunes at the numbers listed.
