Hi!
I know MOST of y'all monitor South Louisiana, but I need someone from North Louisiana to clarify something I've heard.
I was told the parish sheriff's in DeSoto, Webster, Claiborne and Union have move all their operations up to 700 mHz., but then I heard that DeSoto had stayed on their VHF channels and were using Motorola's TBRO, TRBO, (?) encrypting and NO ONE would be able to ever hear them, unless you had one of their radios.
I don't hear those parishes on any of my scanners anymore, so I guess they moved.
The scanner friends I have don't have any of the new 700 mHz scanners, yet and I don't either. So, can anyone confirm what I heard is TRUE?
Thanks for your time,
