Hi All. Just FYI. Heard the EAS activation on 158.940. So that's still active

CCSD Crisis Team: This seems more social workers and councilors rather than actual action (as we understand it) Main is 452.9875, simplex on 466.6875, 468.3635, 468.7125

Main channel is getting stepped on hard by a trucking control channel somewhere.

NV Child Seek. Looks like a Non profit that looks for lost kids. Looks like Main is 451.7375 or 451.5625. Simplex on 456.4875, 456.6875

Here also, main is getting stepped on. Corrections appreciated.

The digital that you're hearing on 452.9875 is DMR voice communications -- security ops repeater for a pretty affluent & exclusive HOA.

Assuming your PRO-2096 or whatever has the ability to read & utilize CTCSS/DCS, I suggest you do-so, and include that data with the freqs, but I believe you're mostly just looking at some FCC licenses of interest to you and, I guess asking for more info about them?

Due to incompetent frequency management, there's a lot of co-channel interference here in the LV area -- numerous users with repeaters sharing the same freq pair, so without CTCSS/DCS/DMR et al, you should expect to often hear multiple independent users 'sharing' the same frequency.

I hear them just fine 170.05 pl 107.2 did you change any settings on your radio or scanner? Are you talking about another frequency? I can also get 166.3 no problem.

I stand corrected. Last night I heard the Rangers at Lake Mead talking about a suicidal woman on 170.05. I guess they were just quiet the times I was listening. NPS and Rangers in town and around Red Rock are on 172.600 pl 100. I didn't have 166.3 programmed. What agency and area is that?

Just found it in the database. Mount Wilson. I'm in the desert and mountains often and always try to monitor for BLM and Forestry, but I think my equipment is too old. I'm running a Yaesu FT-7900. Here's what I have programmed:

Red Rock: 172.600 / 100hz
Lake Mead: 170.050 / 107.2 hz
Mt Wilson: 166.300 / 107.2 hz
Mt. Charleston BLM: 166.2375 / 114.8hz

I'm fairly certain those are interagency frequencies shared with BLM, NPS, Forestry, and Fish and Wildlife. Do you see any frequencies missing that would be useful to someone in the mountains and desert?

Thanks for the help. I probably should get a better radio, but I use it mostly for emergency communication and entertainment. Not much entertainment on analog these days.
