Past couple of weeks I've been randomly getting somewhat garbled Tx on Clark PD's main channel. It's not scrambled, and not 100% intelligible. Did they tweak or change anything on the main? Thanks.

You mean beyond being on digital? I don't think so. Seems hit or miss at times with the digital, hear them more on PD2 it seems.

I'm close so it's a strong signal, just sometimes it's a little garbled. Every now and then the sender will be asked to repeat their Tx but not every time. Weird.

There's a known poorly engineered, unattended transmitter in the area that frequently causes interference issues in the UHF range between about 420-512MHz. A local amateur radio repeater is often affected by it, as are several commercial users in the wider general area. That's possibly the cause. Clark PD has been noticing it also apparently, but they had issues with it before going to digital also.

I think I know the repeater of which you speaketh. It started happening only about 3-4 weeks ago though so it's not that repeater.

To be clear I was not inferring the ham repeater, which is as solidly engineered as one could ever be, was the cause, but rather amongst the victims.

The transmitter which I was suggesting may the cause nobody is even sure if it's licensed, but everyone knows the location. The issue with Clark PD's P25 may have only started weeks ago, but they've had issues for several years with the source I was suggesting when they were still analog, as have various Ham, GMRS, Public Safety, and commercial users in the area. Just suggesting it as a very plausible possibility.

I misunderstood. My apologies. I have been monitoring Clark for about 30 years now and have heard blatant interference only a handful of times. This breakup, or digital noise, I've only heard within roughly the past month. I guess I'm the only one hearing it since no one asks for the Tx to be repeated. Maybe it's someone local to me attempting to Tx on Clark's output. It's definitely getting worse though.

Figured it out. Heard a tx with a few street names. I searched and found out I'm hearing Princeton PD. Same freq as Clark but with a NAC of F14. Never got them before. Gotta check my squelch setting when I get the chance.
