The really bad news is that they will most likely jump on the TNDHS D7 bandwagon and go with the encrypted MotoTRBO that they are wanting to upgrade to from the annoying LTR Passport they currently have now. If we are lucky they will stay with Harris, but upgrade to P-25 and kick the EDACS ProVOICE to the curb.

well i hope not, the ltr passport is going to nexedge very soon they in the process of reprogramming everything right now I've been told, which the district 7 they call it here is changing as for the city of clarksville and their provoice system who knows where it will go honestly they might go nexedge also. tonight a call happened with police and s.o and they were on a man hunt and the sad thing was they couldn't even talk to each other or anything so it got to a point where they could have shot each other due to lack of communication because of the different systems everything is on.

clarksville tennessee changing radio systems

I read where Clarksville might be changing radio systems and was wondering if Springfield will also be in the change. I have received any LTR data locally here in Springfield. Any solutions?

I have never had any LTR data come up on my Pro 106 here in Springfield. I have searched the areas around Clarksville including the 800mhz thinking that Springfield might be coming through their frequencies. I see on the site for Springfield talk groups in LTR but I have never had any success. I scan them conventional but would like to experiment with these talk groups. Any suggestions?

If you program all the frequencies in conventional you should hear them no scanner can track the type of ltr system they use I have all mine in conventional that's how I hear district 7 traffic

Yeah that's the only way you can which sucks because you can't program in talk groups :/

Unknown Towers Scanned (SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE)

I was scanning here in Springfield Tennessee and picked up several frequncies that are not listed on the FCC page when I sought these out. My question is whether these can be heard in the Clarksville area or these down towards Nashville or east or west of Springfield. Please see video:

Outside antenna?
Close to the Springfield tower site?
Looks like you are receiving images due to front end overload/intermod.

bct15x scanner for Robertson county

I have a friend who wants to sell me a BCT15x but I have two things stopping me. The recent interest in the changing of the Homeland Security radios and the other is would the BCT15x have the loud data bursts that my present Pro 106 does not. Was getting for second scanner.
