Enjoy listening for a little more. My source says there are some major problems with the microwave rollout so they missed their June 1st target date.

FWIW this project has been problematic for the vendor and the customer from what I have been told.

Probably to link sites... Rather than rely on telecom companies lease/T1 lines for data service. If it is a simulcast system, it may also be used for carrier phase timing as well.

Spoke to a Clayton 911 operator the other night, asked about the "new" radio system. Said they are looking at about 6 months before they get the training for the new system.
