Can someone in Clayton County, or near, go into the FCC website and query Clayton County? They have lots of frequencies in the VHF (150-174) band that are listed to the county but not in our database. I'm in Cobb, so I can't verify them all.

Link the FCC Database: FCC General Menu Reports 3.1.14 October 7, 2010

Select Site/Market/Frequency
Under State - Georgia
Under County - Clayton
Frequency range - 150 (begin) and 174 (end) and then select Submit Query.

Thanks!

This will be a great forums topic to see if Clayton County (CC) can be updated. I know every few months that I'm up there I'm scanning all the freqs assigned to CC to see if I can ID each one of the frequencies. I would post the frequencies in the submission and see if local users can confirm the new frequencies.

I know there are a couple of hard core scanner listeners in the area that can assist. I for one would love to see CC updated like the rest of the metro area.

I am in Coweta and can monitor Clayton.
Is there anyway to export the search results into excel?
There are over 60 frequency results.

About 10 of the VHF freqs listed are for low power (half watt or quarter watt) body mics/bugs used in undercover investigations, you need to be within a few hundred feet if not less to pick one up. Plus they arent used very often so good luck.

Hello everyone & nice site by the way, im a clayton county resident & ive been submitting updated frequencies from my profile on here & i came across this forum to let everyone know that i have lived in clayton county for goin on 24yrs & i used to listen back some years ago & still have an old "Police Call" book from 94 i believe but i monitor on a daily basis & im submitting frequencies weekly to the site & wise871 you seem to be the one assigned to posting these updates & i wanted to say thanks & imma keep submitting what i find out about. One thing for sure.... 155.055Mhz is DEFINITELY the Clayton County Sheriffs Dept Dispatch frequency because on a warrant serve the PD channels alerted their units that SO (Sheriffs Office Dispatch) was holding traffic on a signal 83 (Wanted Person Located) and when i manually tuned to that frequency the deputy said "Its Clear To Resume Normal Traffic" after me made contact with someone at the residence. I'll send in anything new that i discover & thanks for the responses.

i lived in CC for about 11 years and just now moved out of the area to Rockdale, i can still pickup Clayton from my location in Rockdale just not the cities.... only county. Riverdale, ForestPark, Morrow, Lake City, all the local jurisdictions arent powerful enough to pick up on my Pro-83 but County i can hear still.

i posted the correct freq's in the other CC topic, ill dig it up

Everytime I'm up in Clayton County I always hear traffic on 151.3250 and 150.9950. Granted I'm up in the North End but it's always busy and it is used in the county. I plot all the cals on a map one day.

I knew they were PD channels but in your post above you had stated that you seldom heard anything on those channels so I was responding. Not sure if you edited it.

Clayton Co Sheriff

Just noticed two new frequency repeater pairs in the FCC license database issued to Clayton County Sheriff effective TODAY!!!

WPLF542

RX: 150.995
TX: 153.815

RX: 155.055
TX: 159.045

I have know way of knowing the tone for these frequencies but it stands a good chance of being 107.2. I believe this is the first time I've ever seen an FCC license with both Issue Date and Effective Date on the very day I saw it in the FCC Database. What does that prove you ask? NOT ONE DANG THING!! :)

This MIGHT also confirm the earlier post in this thread that 155.055 is the CCSO Dispatch Channel.

Their license with the call you reference reflects this, they are not even showing as licensed on 151.25

I hear them regularly on 155.775

Narrowbanding means how the signal is modulated (transmitted). Doesn't mean they are going to be trunked. Common misconception in scannerland. What it will mean is that the signal will not be as strong and travel as far as it has in the past. The audio will sound just a little different (more compressed).

Im curious about something, i live directly behind clayton state college & i have their frequency 151.055 CT:192.8 programmed into my scanner but ive NEVER heard any traffic on it. Ive recently purchased a baofeng uv-5r dual band HT from amazon.com & im studying for my tech license & recently i programmed all the PD & FD frequencies into it so i wouldnt have to tote the scanner around to hear police & fire talk (Receive Frequencies Only) and when i got to clytn st PD i programmed their input to see if it was a valid channel & it has a repeater thats listening in & is fully operable but they never use it. Im wondering if theyve abandoned it for Nextels & only keeping it for SHTF kinda scenarios or what? I never encourage anyone to do what i did (Its HIGHLY illegal) but i only done it once for a brief 2 secs to satisfy my curiosity. What do you think theyve turned to?
