Someone's radio keeps keying up on CLEER about every second for just a brief moment tonight. It must be driving the dispatchers crazy.

I bet when someone DFs it, they find a malfunctioning console.

My bet: a Boulder County agency.

I wouldn't say it was a Boulder County radio since Boulder County pretty much only operates VHF and CLEER is a 400 mhz channel. As far as I know none of the SO's or PD's use dual band radios. I know the vertex's the SO's use can't do that. Now if it was a dispatcher, that would be a different radios because their radios can do a heck of a lot more.

Maybe it was the 179.9 PL in the transmissions.

For the "but it's a carrier squelch freq" reponses. True but some agencies have a PL on the transmit. Put your radio in PL detect mode and watch it sometime.

Yeah thats true, if it was 179.9 for a pl than it was most likely Boulder county unit. I'd be curious to find out who it would be.

It seems to me that lots of agencies have switched to MAC-1 on the state system since the problems of last week.
I don't think I have heard Denver on MAC yet though.

It seems like the interference is back big time. I had to lockout CLEER last night because it would keep the CLEER patch talkgroup on Arvada's edacs system transmitting only noise until the repeater would time out. Then it would start all over again.

Anyone heard anything on what is causing it??
