This years Air Show is here. Does anybody have any info on arrival schedules, practice schedules, or frequencies.

I went to the Selfridge Air Show a couple of weeks ago, and the Thunderbirds were using the following frequencies that weekend. 141.175, 149.65, and 235.25.

Thanks for the link Budvans. I have entered them all in my scanner. One question though, it lists airboss as 123.1000 or 123.3000. I have never seen those in use at Burke. Maybe they are generic airboss freqs, or maybe they were from another location. The only two freqs I have ever seen for Cleveland airboss were 126.4, or 135.875.

Burrhead- I didn't know they used temporary licenses. Do you think 118.25 and/or 128.475 will be used for the airboss? Could it be they use those for some of the civilian acts?

For those following the Thunderbirds- They used a different freq for the diamond on the Sunday from the one they used on Saturday.

I would say those are generic frequencies. I've never seen those used by the airboss anywhere. I have the Cleveland airboss freqs. from 2010 till last year (not in order): 126.4, 127.95, 128.475, 126.00, 360.60, 135.875, 138.875 (possibly).

128.475 was an airshow discrete channel last year.

123.100 & 123.300 are Air Boss frequencies that have been used at other Air Shows. 126.400 & 135.875 are typically used in Cleveland.

Regarding the Temporary freqs, They are usually used by Acts, feeds to PA systems, etc.. Military acts like the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds have a group of frequencies that are essentially their own dedicated frequencies.

128.475 has been used for a number of years. 118.25 is new this year. If I remember correctly it replaces 127.95 which was used last year.

I went to Air show arrival/practice today. The Thunderbird diamond used 139.8, and the Thunderbird solos used 235.25. I also heard some Thunderbird ground personnel talking to the Thunderbird lead on 360.6.

You can add 149.6500 TBirds and Hopkins Mil Air 2: 273.4500 (Take off and Landing).

I was down low along N. Marginal. I think I might have been too low to hear the other two freqs. I will add them to my scanner. Thanks.

Also thanks to Burrhead for mentioning that they obtain the two temp freqs for the airshow, and what they are. What usually happens to me is I find the oddball aviation band freqs they are using late in the day on Monday. When it is almost too late to listen to them. This year, I will be on it right away.

I went to practice again today. The Thunderbirds used the same frequencies today. 139.000 for the Diamond, and 235.35 for the solos. The Airboss used 135.875 to run the show, and 118.35 to work the LifeFlights in and out. 128.475 was used a lot as a discrete frequency for civilian acts and the Navy Heritage flight.

Was that 139.800 for the Diamond?

Yes, sorry. The diamond used 139.800 on Friday.

I couldn't go to the airshow Saturday, and I won't be able to go today either. I will be there Monday though.

Here's two TBird photo's from Fridays practice. It was over cast and hazy, but I got a few good shots.
