We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

What is the frequency that the military jets talk to Cleveland Center on when they are training in the Misty MOA over Lake Ontario near Rochester, NY. Thanks

I have the following as obtained from the FAA ATA-100 Data (Incorrect - See Below) for the MISTY 1, 2, and 3 MOAS:
Misty 1 - Cleveland Center: Freq 1 - 125.200, Freq 2 - 263.100
Misty 2 - Cleveland Center: Freq 1 - 127.475, Freq 2 - 346.350
Misty 3 - Cleveland Center: Freq 1 - 127.475, Freq 2 - 346.350

I can send you an Excel file with the above information if you would like.

Also, in case you didn't know, you can check when the Misty MOA may be active by going to: http://www.faa.mil/ops/docs/x_next24sua.html

If they operate like the DUKE MOA near me, the tankers will talk with Cleveland Center on the VHF Freqs and the Fighters will be on the UHF Freqs. You should listen closely when they check in to determine the tactical freq they are using. Again, in the DUKE they say something like "Push 301.60" (DUKE Primary) or "Push 259.40" (DUKE Secondary). I have never seen these freqs published. Also, when you know that you have aircraft operating in the MOA, try a search between 138.0 and 143.975 (AM Mode) to find any VHF tactical freqs being used between aircraft.

Yokoshibu,
I checked this morning and the info above is NOT from the FAA ATA 100 data. Sorry about that. Basically I took the SUASLP.DBF file that is part of the SUAS.ZIP file downloaded from the https://164.214.2.62/products/digitalaero/index.cfm website. It is located under the AVDAFIF section. When that file is unzipped, the SUASLP.DBF file can be found. I extracted that and opened it in Excel using the "Files Of Type" of dBase Files. Then just saved it as a spreadsheet...seems to work OK. It's alot of messing around but it yields some pretty useful info.
