Hi everyone i got some good news a friend told me Cleveland EMS is going to be on the new system on November 1st and a friend i use to work with at a Motorola shop told me East Cleveland Fire is also going on the new Cleveland System.this is the only info i know for now if i get anymore news i will post it.

Any word as to when Cleveland Fire would start broadcasting on the new P25 system? It would make sense for both EMS and CFD to become active at the same time. The two branches are becoming more inter-related since now they both communicate on a first responder channel.

well maybe ems will keep the old portables to talk with fire not sure just ems was going first then fire so were see how it gos maybe their going to link the to talk groups from both systems??

I talked to an EMS Supervisor this morning at the Red Center. She told me that the only ones who have been talking on the new radios are the EMS Commander and Deputy Commander for testing purposes. I also asked about a time frame and she told me they will know its soon when the "how to use the new radio" classes are announced.
