Published reports indicate Cleveland Heights is moving to Chagrin Valley Dispatch.

An Ordinance authorizing an agreement with the Chagrin Valley Dispatch Council (CVD), a regional Council of Governments, pursuant to Ohio law, to join CVD’s joint Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services communications system for the dispatch of Police, Fire and EMS services in and for multiple communities, and authorizing the City to approve the dissolution of the Heights Hillcrest Communications Center (HHCC).

Don’t read too much into this. HHCC is simply being folded into the CVD Umbrella. The dispatch center is staying in Cleveland Heights and operating the same way. While HHCC was managed by CVD it was its own agency. This merger allows for some management and operational efficiencies.

So basically, maintain the same facilities but gain access to 911 funds and staff?

I believe Heights Hillcrest ended operations Dec 31 2021.
Chagrin Valley took over operation Jan 1 2022 as it’s third dispatch center in the former Height Hillcrest location .
