Cleveland Hts PD just recently got issued a FCC license for a trunked radio system

WQDK386 on 453.1625, 453.2875, 453.4750, 453.6875, 453.7875, & 460.0875

Unknown what type of system or if analog or digital.

Anyone got any inside information?

"Active" simply means they are active in the database, not that the system is on line.

Nothing like muddying up the interoperability waters of Cuyahoga County a wee bit more...

Lessee... low band, high band, UHF, 800 MHz, VSELP, analog, P25 CAI... how much less interoperable can they possibly make it up there???

I'm sure some ____________ On The Lake city will want a 700Mhz system soon that should really cloud things up

On top of that, they are trying to get an 800 MHz P-25 Countywide TRS online. Starting in the Solon area and going from there.

Solon recently got a $900,000 FEMA grant for radios. They claim it's for repeaters,controllers. and antennas for a new radio system.

I had one person claim they were just for MARCS radios to be used in case of a disaster.

Cuyahoga county even has information on their website talking about this. They (County Commissioners) had a public meeting last week about the radio system. It was listed in their meeting agenda.

Well i heard this 453.4750 it was active but it might have been the akron canton airport. i'm not sure though.

453.4750 is also used for primary ops for the NE Ohio Regional Sewer District.....

I heard this system today and it is confirmed it is a digital system.

No, the system is not 'active' except in the minds of the license holders.
