Planning a quick trip to Niagara Falls from Cleveland in a couple of weeks. Will be taking I90 to Buffalo then North to the Falls. Are the New York State Police still in the clear and what posts would be best to plug in. Thanks in advance for any help.

90% of your trip will be on NYS thruway. Lookup the nys thruway authority freq. NYSP uses it on thruway., Just a friendly note scanner in vehicle in NYS is illegal so dont get caught with it.

Exits 45 (Victor) through 61 (PA State Line), Niagara Thruway (I-190)
Other than on the Thruway, NYSP operates primarily on each county Law Dispatch TG or conventional channel. There is NYSP car to car on 154.665 but other NYSP channels are seldom used in the Western NY area.
The Thruway alternates their 2 channels on the towers throughout the zone with all zone traffic over both channels. So, scan both.
