With the high winds expected tonight I thought I would plug in CEI (First Energy) and Cleveland Public Power. In past storms the last couple of years I was never able to hear anything from CEI but never tried C.P.P. Unless I'm missing it I don't see anything listed at all in the GCRRN database. Probably encrypted anyway but I was curious.

Check MARCS. There are tons of First Energy, CEI and Ohio Edison groups.

I remember receiving C.P.P. in the Analog Days. I do not know if they use the same frequency or a talk group on the Cleveland TRS.

Are they using their own system? Are they on GCRCN? Are they on MARCS? Just stating that they are encrypted doesn't reveal everything that one might want to know.
