The simulcast tower in the southwest corner of the county (Dewitt) is up and expected to be turned on at the end of the month. Since it came in under budget, they are hoping to build the southeast tower a year ahead of schedule (so 2013.)
Narrowbanding switch for existing pagers & tornado sirens was to have been completed last week.
The airport continues the work towards becoming a 425 site (basically part of Lansing) and when that happens they will leave the Clinton Co trunked system and switch to Ingham's.
Bath Twp & Dewitt Twp want to take the unused tones from Looking Glass (now part of Delta Twp Fire) and making them EMS tones for their respective departments, so they can have a separate fire & EMS each.
