Has anyone noticed a change in the activity from local PD and sheriff?..I think they might be using cell phones for a lot of traffic calls...seen an officer had a car stopped the other day...and didn't hear any call, but seen him using cell phone and checking driver license

I doubt they would use cell phones for that. The more likely case is they are now using Mobile Data Terminals (MDT) in their cars.
I have heard that being done...but the officer was standing at the stopped car drivers side door...with what appeared to be drivers license in one hand and talking into cell phone...our system here in Clinton is not very good for the police and fire..the signal strength is weak, the police and fire have complained and another tower is to be put up soon
