I have heard in the past that my narrowing down the number of channels to only the "Control Channels" for each site that scanning is quicker and more reliable...truth?

I have run my SDS 200 & 100 this way in the past but recenly appending CLMRN back to the scanners during some updates I am again wondering if by only using CC's will I miss out on transmissions?

Thanks for any thoughts on this.
