I believe Avon's latest plan is to use the State core and take the savings and build a tower near the Huckleberry Hill Transfer Station. They will have all town services on the trunk system.

I see this entry coming up in DSDPlus on the Troop G system:

2021/08/05 06:11:00 Freq=853.750000 NAC=3A0 BEE00.3A9-1.21 neighbor: Site BEE00.3A9-3.1; CC=1-2066 774.91875 ISOLATED

The site is 3A9-3.1 All other sites start with RFSS 1 and this is a 3. It is also isolated.

Any ideas what this site might be?

That's the new West Zone. The site is Bridgeport's new system (not yet in service).

chris
Thanks for that, Chris. Interesting. I wonder if the 3 is temporary. Stamford uses 1 on their system so I wonder if Bridgeport needs to be different.

Stamford is CLMRN Zone 001 Site 002 (New Britain is 001-001). Bridgeport will be Zone 003, Site 001. The State calls it the West Zone but isn't geographically accurate now.
There can be 255 Zones each with 255 sites. WACN (BEE00), System ID (3A9), RFSS (001 or 003), and Site ID (varies)

Troop L has joined the West Zone with a Site ID of 3.15
Old Troop L Site 1.31 shows inactive.
Same Frequencies, NAC, etc just part of the West Zone now.

Thank You Chris for this update ( and Mike for the DB update ). I updated my G5 and L is now back. I'm thinking about programming wildcards ( all F's ) for all of the site ID's and RFSS ID's ect...

I did notice that since these changes, LCD Dispatch (TG 8701) no longer comes out simulcast over Troop L Simulcast sites. Perhaps the radios have not yet been reprogrammed to reflect the changes.

My understanding is that it is to ensure the system is able to quickly and automatically recover from a major failure. If West fails, East takes over and vise versa. They will use this feature:

Dynamic System Resilience (DSR)
DSR ensures the radio system is seamlessly switched to a backup master site dynamically in case of
system failure. DSR also provides additional indication such as failure detection, fault recovery, and
redundancy within the system to address to the user in need. Mechanisms related to the Integrated
Voice and Data (IV&D) or data centric are all supported by DSR.

Today I am seeing as new site, RFSS 1 and site 38 (26 in hex) on 774.51875 It is very weak where I am in Norwalk. The Bridgeport site is not showing any more.

It is reasonably strong here in Milford. I just got Troop G come up on it. And Westport also now.
And I am getting TG 25818 now encrypted. Westport PD?
NAC 3A8
Site 38
SYS ID 3A9
WACN BEE00
So far 769.73125 and 769.23125 came up on the system
It is in my radio as ERV alternate control channel
