Anyone else hearing "clock pulses" on 27500 Khz at 2100UTC? They're not strong but quite audible. I've never noticed this while monitoring this slice of spectrum, and don't think I'm hearing local digital noise.

... pulses gone at 2106utc.

Maybe someone had an SDR going that could confirm.

(I'm listening in the midwest)

(pulses back at 2115utc)

You can see the clock pulses at 27500 Khz as well as another mystery digital signal that pops up between 27490 and 27505 Khz.

p.s. That other mystery signal is also heard at another location 4 miles away.

Thanks for checking. I realize that there is a remote chance of it being local, but I monitor this spectrum daily and have never heard the "clock pulses" till today.

When you get that low in frequency, down below 30 kHz, there can be lots of noise that can have a clock like affect. A recording can help to narrow it down.

Did you mean 27500 kHz (up in the 11 meter area), and not 27.5 kHz (below the AM broadcast band)? Your screen shot seems to indicate 27500 kHz.

Thanks for pointing out my error/brainfade (khz mhz) The clock pulses, were on 27500 Khz in the 11 meter band. I was using digipan software with my Yaesu FRG-100 to "watch" that portion of the 11 meter spectrum. The audio sounded like a clock ticking. You can see the "dashes" formed in the waterfall at that freq.

Unfortunately, I can't go back and correct the OP title or later posts.

Modified to conform to freq reporting standards - always in Khz here, as it is on numerous utility mailing lists...

Onward...Mike
