Cloneing Question for pro96-97

Does anyone know if its possible to clone a pro96 to a pro97 or will the V-Bank interfere?

You can only clone like radios 96-96 or 96-2096 or 97-97 or 97-2055.

Don Starr (http://www.starrsoft.com) wrote a conversion utility. If he adds PRO-97 support, you can use that to make a file to clone them (within the specs).

Thank you,I did not want to try it and lose everything Ive already programed.Actually Im kinda glad that the program is not out yet.Its makeing me take time to actually learn abit more about the scanner and trunking all together.

As of this writing, only Win96 and Win99 support the new format. Win92, Win93, and Win95 will be modified to support it in the near future. All future WinXX apps will use this new format. Once all existing WinXX apps support the new format, support for the WinXXDataConverter program will cease.

But look at why he is getting away from it - they will all use the same format so no 'conversion' will be necessary. 8)

I imagine the 97 will use the new format, too, so it's just a matter of loading the same file into the scanner.
