Can anyone tell me if they have cloned from a 396T to a 396XT? I have a friend that has a T, that I want to copy his frequencies to my new XT. Do you know of a way?

thanks!

Download the BCD396T into FreeScan.

Upload FreeScan into BCD396XT.

It's not quite that simple with TRSs. The 396T doesn't have sites, so you have to add the appropriate sites to the systems before uploading to the 396XT.

You just can't clone direct from the classic 396 to the XT. At least with FreeSCAN it knows what radio is in use and can import the systems. Not too bad to change the attributes in the editing screens. Beats having to type it all in, but then you could just use the RR import function and have FreeSCAN do all the work for you.
