Cloning a pro106 to pro197

I have a pro106 avalible that is programed with everything I need, I want to clone it to a new pro197. Can they be programed from scanner to scanner or will I have to download the pro106 menory to a pc then upload to the pro197?

I couldn't find this is the "new easier to read manual online" but searching back thru RR threads I found
a answer & with a 1/8" to 1/8" stereo cord and about 1 minute I got the new pro197 programed from a pro106, WoW that was easy and fast!

Yup, I can't imagine a quicker way to program a radio.

Yep, I was overloaded with info on software and cables

It was getting to be to much, buying a cable, learning & buying the new software, uploading the information from the database and downloading it to the scanner, it's hard to believe a simple 1/8 " patch cord and 3 key strokes could clone the scanner injust a few seconds.
